Harry Potter's Christian Coulson Joins Cast of "In My Name"
Glenn Beck beware. A dark wizard is now on your trail. SUPERWOLF just announced that Christian Coulson (Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) has joined the cast of Steve Hevey's In My Name, a play that was the hit of London's West End.
It will have its premiere American staging at The 9.13 Project on June 19th at 8pm at The Brecht Forum. The evening co-stars Jamie Effros.
Ben Brantley of The New York Times called the play “a ticking, short-fused bomb of a drama… brave and exciting”. In his review of the London production, he praised the play: "Mr. Hevey dares to suggest not only that being under attack does not always bring out the noblest instincts, but also that home-grown patriotism can assume forms as dangerous as anything the Enemy, whoever that may be, can come up with."
Mr. Brantley wrote that review in his London Journal in July 2008.
From the press materials of the show, "It’s not easy being optimistic in London but on the day after winning the bid for the Olympics the world felt a lot brighter. And then a bomb went off. IN MY NAME is a bold, dark and funny insight into the consequences of allowing life to pass you by because no matter how much you bury your head in the sand, the world has a funny way of forcing itself right through your front door."
