Beck's "Nazi Tourette's" Strikes Again

When Lewis Black pointed out that Glenn Beck has "Nazi Tourette's," I thought for a moment that the Fox host would take heed of the diagnosis and get professional help. Judging from his latest remarks about the leader of the Jewish Funds for Justice, his condition is only deteriorating.

Here is what happened.

Jewish Funds for Justice CEO Simon Greer said, rather noncontroversially, that "To put God first is to put humankind first. To put humankind first is to put the common good first."

To Beck, this talk is all rather sinister, and he responded, "This leads to death camps. A Jew, of all people, should know that. This is exactly the kind of talk that led to the death camps in Germany. Put humankind and the common good first."

Greer responded, "Glenn Beck has a history recklessly invoking Nazi Germany and the Holocaust in order to advance his political agenda. Most Jews in the United States share our belief in the role of the common good in society. With his comments today, Beck is essentially accusing millions of Jews -- including survivors of the Holocaust and their children and grandchildren -- of paving the way for fascism."

JFSJ has more on its website.

Meanwhile, we at The 9.13 Project urge Beck to abandon his distrust of modern science, and submit himself for psychological observation  to monitor his unique condition. Do it for the common good. Do it for humanity.
